Update on Metropolis Dramas

We received a phone call from the Real Estate telling us that some massive huge company had put in a bid for the snazzy unit and it was a what we offered so we had to up our offer!!!!!! Well we didn't think we had a chance and I was seriously pissed off! I always play by the rules of basic good manners and human courtesy so it stunned me as we had not rented before and had no idea that you can have a large number of people " bidding" on the same house! We had put in our application on Tuesday and this big company only put in an offer this afternoon. Totally spun me out I can tell you as I was under the delusional impression that first in first served....how wrong was I????! Anyway I needed a Bex and a good lie down as I was really disappointed as I was initially excited that we would have a nice place to live. I mean not that it isn't wonderful to have 55 flies (we actually stopped counting after 54) have dinner with you every night and you cant figure out how they get in....or the toilet not attaching to the floor....or the light bulbs breaking off in the roof....or the cockroaches so big you can through a damn saddle on them yeehhhhaaaaaaa! But I really would like somewhere.....nice! Our home in Brisvegas is nice!
Anyway I called them back later in the afternoon and they said the owner had decided we could have the unit.....Funny thing is? I feel like I have been screwed but without the flowers and chocolates.
Nicer things - Went for the Doctor job interview....had to wait for ages as she didn't turn up but then she arrived. The job would be perfect as it is about 20 hours a week and the three girls work around the hubby's rosters of 4 on - 4 off so it would suit me down to the ground with OH roster and my study. He took a pic of me which I have put on as ME AT 78.7 Kilos and I will get him to take another one in about 10 kilos and put them together. I can really see how much I have lost and it makes me feel like keeping on with this and not going of track!
